Growing as Vibrant Women Leaders

Africa

Women of Impact leaders and disciple makers across Africa are catalysts for spiritual growth, disciple making movements and eternal impact in the lives of others in their communities.  As women created in the image of God, their lives are living testimonies with the power to point others to Jesus.

Women of Impact Africa leader, Cecilia, shares “The transformation we have in the lives of others depends first on the level of transformation we’ve allowed Jesus to do in our own hearts…we must remain as vibrant followers of Jesus, growing in our own identity and being open to healing from past trauma…letting Jesus refill us so that we are giving from a place of wholeness.”

Over the past year, Women of Impact Africa has partnered with Purple Tree Ministries to guide its women leaders through the Grow in Purpose course.  This has created intentional space for each leader to go on her personal transformation journey.  The Grow in Purpose course has been a catalyst for spiritual growth, identity rediscovery, and leadership development among the Women of Impact Africa community.

Identity and Purpose
For one woman leader from West Africa, the course was a reminder of God’s intentional design. “What God has given me in my personality and in my gifts are exactly what I need for what He has given me to do in the world,” she shared. Through the course, she embraced her God-given identity and was surprised to discover leadership as one of her spiritual gifts, something she had previously not accepted about herself, but she is now leading her team with confidence.

One disciple maker from Senegal initially doubted her ability to complete the course due to language barriers. But through perseverance and God’s grace, she completed it with a deeper understanding of her identity in Christ and her unique calling. “I learned how to communicate on a deeper level with God through prayer and His Word…and reflect on my gifts, my personality, my passions for His purposes and glory.”

Clarity
One leader from Zambia described how the course helped her understand how God communicates and how her personality influences her ministry. “Knowing my personality helped me to function well in both my family and team…and manage my habits with wisdom and grace.”

Another leader from Tanzania discovered the power of core values in ministry. “Serving without core values may end up being frustrating… but setting boundaries helps me know what to do and what not to do.” Through this journey, she embraced her prophetic and teaching gifts.  She is now able to teach and speak God’s Word with confidence, knowing that it is the gifts of God flowing through her to impact others.

Strength
Even in seasons of grief, the course helped bring strength. One leader from north Africa, who was mourning her father’s passing, found encouragement in the teachings and testimonies.
“I was encouraged and built up…especially the teachings on serving God in times of trouble.”

Multiplying Vibrancy Through Leadership

One of the most profound insights from the Grow in Purpose journey is the realization that the spiritual and personal vibrancy of a woman leader is not just for herself, it is what gets multiplied into the lives of others. Whether reaching out to women in their communities or developing new leaders, the depth of a leader’s own walk with God, clarity of identity, and emotional health directly shapes the vibrancy of those they disciple and influence.

For Women of Impact Africa, investing in the spiritual and personal vibrancy of women leaders is foundational to sustainable, transformative leadership.  The vibrancy of these women leaders is a living testimony, passed on to the women they serve, disciple and lead.
